There’s a “Slow” sign painted on the shared pathway I often take into the city. Some days, it feels like a warning; other days, like permission. It got me thinking about how we interpret life’s signs: when to pause, when to push and how the real art lies in knowing the difference. Because slowing down isn’t falling behind and speeding up isn’t always progress.

Ignoring or avoiding risk doesn’t make it go away. Instead, learning to assess it properly puts us in control. One of the biggest barriers to taking risks is fear.
