#Theweekthatwas @ 26/10/2025

In a week of transitions, I learned that:

  1. People will strive for certainty over that which serves them

  2. Feeling the need to apologise for things you're not responsible for is not a sign of politeness, it's a habit learned from undue blame

  3. Even if you're not the most skilled, you can always be the most committed

  4. Doors that were never meant to be closed for you will open at the right time

  5. Leadership is not necessarily being in charge, it's being in service of the community

  6. There's tremendous power in silence

  7. Satisfaction doesn't always require massive achievements

  8. Sometimes, the greatest gift we can give ourselves is the gift of forgiveness

  9. There's no guarantee our younger selves would have taken our advice nor understood it without the journey that earned it

  10. Like our lives, the legacies we wish to leave should not be compared to others'

  11. Being on the receiving end of intelligent, thought-provoking questions can be a hugely reflective process

  12. Regular reflection is a highly underrated development activity
