#Theweekthatwas @ 01/03/2026

An up and down week, taught me that:

  1. If your growth doesn't scare you, you're not growing enough

  2. When we feel overwhelmed, focusing on what's in our control will shift the energy instantly

  3. In matters close to our hearts, our Spidey senses may require some calibration

  4. It's a sad state of affairs when corruption and evil is acceptable because it's dressed in a suit and tie

  5. Illness of the body isn't nearly as toxic as illness of the heart

  6. When you focus on your own growth, others around you will naturally benefit

  7. Presence, while seemingly simplistic, is immensely powerful

  8. "I just need to tell you something from my heart," is a wonderful way to open a tough conversation (Nancy E Presser)

  9. "We need to talk" leads to "I need to run", Lee-Anne Werner

  10. Fear has many faces, most of which are masks

  11. Sometimes the excitement of a challenge is extinguished by the realities of responsibility

  12. Much of leadership has lost its value because those holding power have forsaken their accountability

  13. Apparently it's ok for a bully to punch a kid and then to be upset when that kid punches back

  14. When you see yourself as a perpetual victim, you end up harming yourself and your own

  15. When you convince others that you're the perpetual victim, you get licence to commit all forms of atrocities

  16. Faith in the goodness of humanity has never been required more than right now
