#Theweekthatwas @ 13/06/2026

A week of convening and preparing taught me that:

  1. It's a form of a curse if we get used to the blessings in our lives to the extent that we take them for granted

  2. Being more content with less is a bigger blessing than having more

  3. Greed is symptomatic of a lack of gratitude

  4. It's amazing how quickly a group of strangers can connect when they find commonality

  5. Leadership exists in all of us; we may just need to assign the proper labels to what we bring

  6. If it's shifted, it's worth celebrating

  7. Too many of us try to be others' cheerleaders when we don't even cheer for ourselves

  8. Safety doesn't simply exist when we say: "This is a safe space", it exists when we feel safe

  9. To love others fully requires loving oneself

  10. Sometimes we learn from others and sometimes others show us that we can learn from ourselves

  11. Apologising when we've done nothing wrong reinforces a sense of subservience and reduces the impact of proper apologies when they're actually needed

  12. The title doesn't come with leadership, it comes with a leadership position

  13. Defaults must be tested periodically to ensure they're still valid
