#Theweekthatwas @ 12/07/2026
A week of moving ahead while looking back and up had a few lessons:
When someone says they're ok, make sure to check whether their eyes agree
If the eyes don't align with their words' okayness, stay by their side
Sometimes we need to enter seemingly unsafe spaces to create comfort for someone else to follow
Pretence allows a window of opportunity for performance until the curtains open on reality
Grief doesn't look at your calendar to make an appointment
There's a certain freedom that comes from knowing and accepting your imperfections
Talent might get you noticed, but it's effort and discipline that will take you the distance
The same constellations that shine over one humanity, hold many different stories
"And He is the One Who has made the stars as your guide through the darkness of land and sea" Qur'an [6:97]
We live in a time where the language of therapy has become the language of morality
Too many of us have become consumers of relationships instead of custodians of them
If your standards are set by emotion, by reaction, then you need a much higher bar
