#Theweekthatwas @ 20/07/2025

A  bustling week had several lessons:

  1. What you say and what others hear you say are often very different things

  2. Being unteachable and arrogance go together like hand and glove

  3. While confidence and arrogance can sometimes appear similar, the former thrives on feedback while the latter doesn't believe it needs it

  4. Some people have the ability to make everybody feel like they're their best friend

  5. We derive the most energy from doing the things we both enjoy and which we're good at

  6. If you believe that others are always wrong and you are always right, that's a sure sign that you have some fixing to do

  7. Winning is as much about belief as it is about skill

  8. The human being is the one creature capable of being the most kind and also the most evil

  9. To some, strength is knocking someone out, to others, it's walking away before the first punch is thrown

  10. Being a critical thinker and being critical of others are not the same thing

  11. By making a commitment public, we automatically bring accountability into the picture

  12. We live in a world where a cheating CEO gets more media coverage than the forced man-made famine of an entire people
