#Theweekthatwas @ 04/01/2026

The first week of 2026 taught me that:

  1. New days, new weeks, new months, new years and still there's a part of us that remains the same

  2. We are who we are no matter where in the world we are

  3. As a communicator, mastering your material doesn't mean memorising it

  4. Difference observed with curiosity enables insight, difference observed with judgement provokes discrimination

  5. Most of us have never been to prison and yet, are ourselves imprisoned

  6. Energy is like a homing beacon, attracting exactly what we put out

  7. Caring for elders isn't flashy business but it does something beautiful to the soul

  8. If you think your success, your position or your title is all because of you, think again

  9. People judge vision more by whether you live it than by how beautifully you state it

  10. What we perceive and what is truth may be completely out of sync

  11. It is generally accepted that the human mind is one of the most powerful creations, yet the soul hardly gets a mention

  12. Clarity of purpose, rather than inspiration, provides the most powerful and sustainable motivation

  13. When we convert intangible visions into realistic, bite-sized steps, reaching the vision becomes achievable

  14. When we lean into being of service, opportunities to serve suddenly appear

  15. Each of us is on our own  journey with paths that only cross or merge with others' temporarily
