#Theweekthatwas @ 01/02/2026

A week of resettling was full of learning things like:

  1. Just because a thought presents itself, it doesn't mean it's valid

  2. De-personalising a feeling of shame - "It's being felt" instead of "I feel it" - makes it easier to process

  3. Any situation in our lives is defined by the meaning we attach to our experience of it

  4. We have the ability to rewrite our realities by assigning alternative meanings to what we observe

  5. "Resentment is like drinking poison and wanting for the other person to die"

  6. In order to become more comfortable with discomfort, we have to practice being in uncomfortable situations

  7. Humans have the unique ability amongst all species to evolve and adapt to almost any environment in their own lifetime

  8. Words matter, language matters immensely!

  9. There's a distinction between perfectionism and having high standards

  10. The amount of money you have doesn't necessarily change your management of money

  11. One can be recompensed fully while serving fully - they're not mutually exclusive

  12. Problems are a given; so we should always strive to have better quality problems
