#Theweekthatwas @ 12/04/2026

Another enlightening week had much to learn from:

  1. The best form of authority is experience

  2. As individuals, we may be unique; however, collectively - as teams, organisations, communities - our challenges are very similar

  3. Every human trait has potential for both good and harm - we get to choose our approach

  4. Fighting spirit comes naturally when the stand is for truth and justice

  5. Happiness is a fleeting emotion which, by definition, is temporary

  6. When we chase happiness as a life goal, we shouldn't be surprised that the goal posts keep moving

  7. Two things that always provide an exceptional return on investment are people and genuine relationships

  8. Allowing our mood to be determined by the weather is like using a roulette wheel for our decisions

  9. The law of averages means consistency will always trump big-bang approaches

  10. The problem is never the problem - always check upstream

  11. Many of us mask our potential with excuses because we're not willing to be honest with ourselves

  12. If each of us were truly honest with ourselves, we'd experience unprecedented global growth

  13. Every bully will at some point meet his David

  14. Placing personality above principle results in bias, discrimination and, far too often, corruption

  15. Persistence with inflexibility creates fragility

  16. If we're really dedicated to our growth, we'll make sure we have someone we trust looking through our undies drawer 😏
