#Theweekthatwas @ 05/01/2025

The first week of 2025 taught me that:

  1. Human beings are malleable creatures so we should be very mindful and deliberate about what we choose to expose ourselves to

  2. Parental advice is like a vintage cheese: its true value is only really appreciated over time

  3. Trying to match or emulate others' successes rather than playing to your own areas of strength, more often than not results in half-ass outcomes

  4. An attitude of gratitude is the cure to 87.35%* of our problems (*based on exactly zero statistical analysis)

  5. Sadly, there are some forces amongst us who do not appear to have set a resolution to eradicate their evil in 2025

  6. There's a tremendous amount of peace and contentment in living in this world, not for it

  7. In relationships of significance, indifference is more toxic than expressing challenging emotions, even if anger is one of them

  8. The wise man gets more from his enemies than a fool from his friends

  9. Pausing gives growth the chance to catch up with you

  10. Keeping one's integrity in place may sometimes mean standing up against the tide; not easy, but highly fulfilling
