#Theweekthatwas @ 16/02/2025
A summery week taught me that:
Change may feel expensive, but we don't often consider the cost of staying the same
In times of loss or grief, we tend to encourage patience when gratitude is likely to be more helpful at getting us through
Smiling is such a powerful mechanism to shift moods, both our own and others'
Wisdom lies not in words but in action
We can choose to be grateful under any circumstance
Showing gratitude to one who doesn't have any need of praise benefits the grateful
Energy cannot be seen but you walk into a room and it's palpable, like you can reach out and touch it
Winging it can work for a time and then you'll be caught out
Thinking we have control of the outcomes of our lives is one of life's biggest delusions
Relinquishing the idea that we control outcomes and, instead, focusing on our efforts, is liberating and energising
Being inclusive isn’t a nice-to-have or a “if we can afford it” item on someone’s to do list, it matters - to those being excluded and to your bottom line
When we don’t seek to understand (others), we spend our lives in self-imposed darkness and ignorance, living lives of “or” rather than “and”
