A topsy turvy week taught me that:

1. If we want to achieve success, we have to get out of our comfort zone

2. Only trust will bring out the best in people

3. You're only powerless if you believe you're powerless

4. We shouldn't spout education to our children as just a means to get a job or earn a living; there's a much deeper purpose to educating ourselves

5. If being alone with ourselves feels lonely, then we're missing something within ourselves

6. Sometimes it's more stressful being on the outside looking in than being in the game itself #finals #champions

7. Reliance on the ultimate Provider has to be accompanied by effort from us first #tawakkul

8. Putting our trust in our Maker doesn't mean we'll always get what we want, because what we want may not necessarily be best for us

9. If we mostly fill our quiet time with distractions, we're doing ourselves a huge disservice

10. There's a world of difference between a religion and a way of life #deen

11. There are still people who won't take a stand even when they see children's lives viciously taken right before their eyes #notcomplicated

12. With all of its certainty, nothing prepares us for the reality of death

13. A hard-fought rivalry between two humble giants is a beautiful spectacle
