#Theweekthatwas @ 8/09/2024.
The first full week of Spring taught me that:
1. Anything that we want in life, we have to learn to give of that first #reciprocity
2. The Arabic word "salat" often translated as "prayer", is derived from the word "sila" which means to link/connect (with God)
3. If change in the world is greater than change within, we will find ourselves wholly inadequate trying to turn up
4. Being adaptive does not mean we have to conform #beyourself
5. If I'm a leader and I'm not helping others be more effective or challenging them to be better, I should be questioning my leadership
6. For all our evolution as a species, there are some rules and principles which should remain unbendable like steel in order to protect our humanity and existence
7. If you are on the truth, you will be made to feel weird because otherwise those who are not will have to accept that their choices and their lifestyles are, in fact, weird
8. Muscle memory is an amazing thing #stillgotit
9. There are three things which never return: a spoken word, an arrow that is released from its bow, and a neglected opportunity
10. It's fascinating to see a sport which, for decades represented racial supremacy and segregation, becomes a unifier, a connector, a boundary breaker, a nation builder even #bokke
11. Meanwhile, there are creatures among us whose sport is war and indiscriminate bloodshed, profiting from the suffering of others #shame #ceasefirenow #stopthehate
