A reflective and productive week had several lessons:

1. No matter how much we gather, collect and hold on to in this life, at the end of the day, we leave it all behind and proceed only with the weight of our deeds

2. Leadership is colourless and genderless

3. While being adaptive is good, no matter how the world changes around us, we should be consistent in our character, attitude and values

4. True leadership shows up during difficulty

5. The catalyst for transformation lies in the next step we decide to take #takethestep

6. Starting one's own business is as scary as it is empowering #doit

7. Even though it's called a "Justice system", justice is not always the outcome when partaking in said system

8. If you support dominance of any nation over another, then you are misguided and will never achieve that outcome, even if you believe differently

9. Any caller to equity will face persecution because the privileged either feel their perch threatened or they're unable to recognise their privilege

10. Slavery may have been abolished but, for many of us, those chains have been replaced by today's trends and the following of our egos

11. It's amazing how much fun air can create #bounce

12. It's a mixed up world where one can get arrested for saying: "Don't kill children" because it might hurt the killers' feelings
