A week of getting stuck in had several lessons:

  1. The #beneficiary of a sincere #charity is indeed the giver

  2. We can be bitter or #better, but not both at the same time

  3. Sometimes the #problem isn't the problem but addressing the peripherals makes facing the actual issues more accessible

  4. Slaving away for our children, the next generation or whatever, means sacrificing precious #time with them that will never return

  5. When hundreds of #journalists are targeted, eliminated and murdered, one needn't be too smart to figure out why that may be #journalismisntacrime #hiddentruths

  6. Zero is the correct number of innocent #children whose lives should be taken away by any so-called military

  7. Creative #arts is a great way for children to improve their #communication, #organisation and #collaboration skills

  8. In a #team, whether in sports, business or family, ensuring each individual gets to shine in their area of #strength will result in the team's #success

  9. If you persecute someone for mistakes in a non-strength area while they're delivering on their strengths, you have a #leadership problem, not a #performance one

  10. #Colonisation happened from the outside in and therefore #decolonisation needs to happen in reverse order: from the inside out #riseup

  11. In large organisations or sectors, there's a ton load of time and therefore money spent just on answering #questions from the higher-ups regardless of whether the questions or the answers will add #value #scramble #bureaucracy

  12. "You get the best out of people not by lighting a fire beneath them but by building a fire within them", Bob Nelson #motivation #vision

  13. The double standards within which this world operates has become all too clear to the masses, and will not stand the test of time #standup
