#Theweekthatwas @ 19/04/2026

A mixed bag of a week reminded and taught me that:

  1. There are lessons which were taught to us ages ago which we've only just decided to learn

  2. Sometimes the help we offer is not the help that's needed (or wanted)

  3. The level of our intellect is limited to the level of our thinking

  4. We should be more concerned about acceptance of our deeds than the deeds themselves

  5. The difference between confidence and arrogance is who we attribute our achievements or capabilities to

  6. Confidence - like communicating or leadership - is a capability which can be built over time

  7. The people who are painfully honest with us are the ones to keep close

  8. Love and care can be expressed and felt regardless of distance

  9. Many of us are less afraid of failure than we are of the responsibility that comes with getting it right

  10. Holding grudges against others eats at us from the inside while the other person is living their best life

  11. It's interesting that you need a licence to drive or trade but you don't need one for parenting or running a country

  12. How we interpret every moment is determined by the filters we choose to see them through
