A week of hosting, eating, signing up and celebrating taught me heaps.

  1. While each of us is a unique creation, we all have the underlying desire to know why we exist, where we came from, and where we're headed

  2. A sign of a healthy mind is one in which comfort reigns: comfort with silence, comfort with what cannot be undone, comfort with itself

  3. Silence exists not in the absence of noise but in our ability to shut it out, both inside and outside of ourselves

  4. If all our downtime is spent chilling, we cannot expect greatness #pushit #pushhard #dontbecrap

  5. When we casually greet asking "How's it going?" many of us don't really want or care to know the answer

  6. If we only depend on human beings to determine our full set of morals, there will always be fluctuations in what we regard as good or bad

  7. Excellence requires a constant set of morality, going beyond mere obligations, consciousness of our ultimate accountability and giving away what we love the most whilst not expecting any thanks or recognition from anyone

  8. When you are raised with #Ubuntu ("I am because we are"), you cannot help but appreciate your connection and obligation to others

  9. To achieve greatness in any discipline, it is far better to do something small everyday rather than something big every now and then #40daychallenge

  10. There are some people who, from the very moment you meet them, you just know they're family

  11. If you really want to know how good your character is, ask an unfiltered six-year old for their opinion of you

  12. The human mind is by far, the most intricate, most advanced and most untapped creation ever
