#Theweekthatwas @ 24/11/2024

Blue-green waves crashing into rocks

The last week of the second last month of the year taught me that:

  1. Even in a flooded market, #candidatecare is still important even if it takes a bit more effort

  2. When backs seem to be up against the proverbial wall, people will #riseup

  3. Unshackling the minds from generations' worth of deeply embedded #narratives takes deliberate and courageous #effort

  4. Even when tens of thousands of people #march in defiance of perpetuated #injustice, those with little understanding or hidden agendas will always find ways to downplay (even manipulate) these efforts for their own benefit #hikoi

  5. Saying "family comes first" is not the same as actually putting #familyfirst #priorities

  6. Shifting #expectations from one end of a spectrum to the complete opposite end is likely to cause an imbalanced outcome

  7. #Wealth can serve as a blessing or a curse depending on how it is used

  8. It can also lead to being deceived that it will last forever or that it will guarantee #happiness or that we're invincible or "self-made" #deception

  9. The truth is that #greed breeds greed not #gratitude

  10. When we choose the path of #truth, we must be prepared to battle through the ignorance and the scorn of the supposedly knowledgeable

  11. When we vocalise an idea or thought, especially to another human, the level of #commitment towards acting on that idea increases significantly #accountability

  12. There's a certain level of craziness that's sort of healthy like dancing barefoot in the rain, and then there's another kind which is just sick and disgusting #vetoforevil
