Who Should Get a Coach and What Will They Gain?

I’ve just returned from visiting family abroad. Before embarking on the multi-legged trip, I knew I wouldn’t have time for business development or client delivery, but I thought I’d at least be able to fit in regular time for writing.

For the first couple of weeks, I managed. But as family time took priority, writing slowly fell by the wayside. At first, I missed it. Then, I felt guilty for not keeping up. I reassured myself, I’ll catch up next week. But when I still didn’t, self-doubt crept in.

"How can I help others set goals and make commitments when I can’t even do so myself?"

That voice was loud, and for a moment, I let it win. I felt like an impostor. Then, something clicked.

This was exactly what many of my coaching clients experience — the feeling of falling short, the guilt of not keeping up, the frustration of knowing they can do better but feeling stuck in the moment.

So, I coached myself through it.

Starting with Hover, I stepped back to assess the bigger picture. Two realisations emerged:

  1. Even though I wasn’t writing, I was still doing meaningful work — sharing the Next Step Leadership value proposition with family and friends.

  2. Missing a few weeks didn’t mean I had failed. It was a temporary setback, but my overall journey was still moving forward.

This moment reinforced why coaching is so valuable. It’s not about never struggling. It’s about having the tools and the right support to move through those struggles without staying stuck.

Who is Coaching For?

Coaching isn’t just for people who feel lost. It’s for anyone who wants to move forward with clarity and confidence.

You might benefit from coaching if:

✅ You feel stuck in any area of life — career, finances, faith, or personal growth.

✅ You know you have more to offer but aren’t sure how to unlock your potential.

✅ You’re going through (or planning) a major career or lifestyle shift.

✅ You have a clear goal but need the right support system — including a coach — to achieve it.

What Will You Walk Away With?

Those who have been through our coaching programs have shared that they’ve gained:

🔹 Clarity – Understanding their purpose, direction, and immediate next steps.

🔹 Confidence – Learning to own their strengths and step into their potential.

🔹 Alignment – Making career and life choices that reflect their values, strengths, and faith.

🔹 Empowerment – The reassurance that they’ve got this!
