#Theweekthatwas @ 13/07/2025

A week of learning and teaching, taught me that:

  1. These days, if you're willing to work hard, you're already ahead of most of the pack

  2. No matter where we are at in our lives, we can always be or do better

  3. There are global movements that spout the mantra: if you say it enough times, people will believe it; and most times it's to convince people of a lie

  4. We live in a world where a man with a warrant out for his arrest for war crimes can nominate a convicted felon who aids his war fetish, for a Nobel peace prize

  5. "People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care"

  6. Connecting is very different from simply communicating or speaking

  7. If you try to serve everyone, you'll end up serving no one

  8. When you exert effort, large or small, in reducing oppression, your life becomes increasingly blessed

  9. If you're committed to improvement or growth and you're not getting traction, you're either being too soft on yourself, or you're being too harsh on yourself

  10. When you seek guidance sincerely, then you will receive guidance

  11. It's fascinating how accepting that you have no power, empowers you fully
