This week's reflection is a bumper edition having spent the last three of its days attending an incredible Business Bootcamp led by Richmond Dinh and Tony Kaye and supported by so many generous and wise business leaders. Here's just a snippet of what I learnt this week:

  1. Ignoring or avoiding issues don’t make them disappear, they simply fester in isolation

  2. Perfection is a made-up construct that can never be attained and yet many of us are incapacitated by its pursuit

  3. 90% of the prize becomes accessible in the last 10% of the quest

  4. Just as our bodies can surpass the limits set by our minds, our minds can surpass those set by our feelings and beliefs

  5. Pain or discomfort is the price you pay for growth; and growth is never free

  6. Many of us have yet to learn to listen louder than we speak

  7. "If come from inside you, always right one" Mr Miyagi

  8. Lack of knowledge is very seldom the cause of our impotence

  9. It is often pride that sits behind our fear of rejection

  10. Sitting on indecision drains your energy far more than making a supposedly wrong decision

  11. "Our dreams don't need more time, they need more commitment" Cynthia C

  12. The number one measure leaders need to track is 'Who am I, how do I show up?'

  13. If we're waiting for God to show up, that's our arrogance assuming we're somehow ahead

  14. "You can't be old and wise without being young and dumb" Jeremy M

  15. "Survival doesn't innovate, it replicates" Simone T

  16. Being in a room where you know the least gives you an opportunity to learn

  17. Deciding to be in a room where you know the least, empowers you to transcend
