#Theweekthatwas @ 04/05/2025

An enlightening week had several lessons:

  1. Gratitude is waking up each morning knowing that I've been given another day for a reason and acting on that

  2. Looking at what went wrong isn't the same thing as looking for blame

  3. Planning is more important than the plan itself

  4. Symbolism is not enough to create transformation, it also requires real action

  5. Freedom is being able to be yourself within boundaries that you know are 100% accurate and true

  6. The best way to beat your opponent is to smile in the face of their aggression, injustice or arrogance

  7. Perspective has the power to significantly shift minds and decisions

  8. It is often assumed that the recipient of a well-intentioned good deed is the benefactor when it is, in fact, the contributor who benefits the most

  9. When you truly love someone, you want what's best for them in this worldly life and, more importantly, what's best for their eternal life

  10. Being the bigger person can sometimes seem like a loss but, in the bigger scheme of things, you see the wins

  11. We live more fully when we're able to offload those burdens which are not ours to bare

  12. Placing yourself in spaces where you're not the smartest person in the room, accelerates your growth

  13. As with all skills, there are varying competency levels in being strategic
