#Theweekthatwas @ 28/12/2025

The last week of the year continued to push out the lessons:

  1.  No matter what our circumstance, there’s always someone in a worse position than ours

  2. Pain (for growth) is inevitable; the choice we have is in when we want to experience it: now, for a short while or later, for longer

  3. Life's tests are designed to remove the wasteful, energy-sapping elements and expose our true strength and grit

  4. Labels are incredibly powerful levers for shaping behaviour, especially for highly impressionable individuals

  5. True peace is the kind that can be found in noise and turmoil just as easily as it can be found in silence and stillness

  6. Fear is nature's way of keeping us safe, sometimes even when there's no real danger

  7. If you're a leader who is scared your team will leave, then do better at making them feel like staying

  8. A good leader is one who is constantly investing in their people and developing them into leaders

  9. Showing up every day as though it's "day one" brings an energy that leads to a day won (thanks @TK)

  10. If you don't ask, you don't get

  11. Laughter is as necessary to life as air is
