#Theweekthatwas @ 28/06/2026

A week of funnelling, synthesising and refilling taught me that:

  1. Speed without direction gets you nowhere quickly

  2. Genuine people can sense other genuine people a mile away

  3. Sometimes the mundane can be the best source of re-filling your cup

  4. Listening to respond gives you ammunition, listening to understand gives you connection

  5. Leadership doesn't stop at showing the path, it continues when you walk it and prove it

  6. The simplest way to get out of your head, is to write your thoughts down (or type them out)

  7. On a journey of change, conversations may be more valuable than outcomes

  8. Acknowledging those who came before reminds us that we're building from strength

  9. For some of us, there are times when our words need to give power to own voice, not just others'

  10. Leadership requires that you "Bring it... Everyday!"

  11. In football, as in life, some things may have global expression, but the power to control it isn't

  12. Neutral systems rarely exist when power, money or fear are brought into the equation

  13. "Being changed" turns to "I'm changing" when we bring agency into the picture
