#Theweekthatwas @ 23/08/2026

A week of highs and lows had many lessons:

  1. Inviting a response from someone is not the same as inviting them into the space

  2. When we live a segmented life, we never achieve our full potential and forever feel like something is missing

  3. What we say and what others hear may not be the same thing

  4. The one who considers themselves not in need of help is the one most in need of it

  5. If we treat history as just "the past", we fail to identify and harness its lessons

  6. If succeeding generations always implemented lessons from earlier ones, the world would be a very different place

  7. Some have a talent for bringing people together - in their life, and their death

  8. Witnessing the passing of others should act as a reminder of our temporary worldly existence

  9. Yet, despite knowing our time on earth is limited, too many of us still act as though we're going to live forever

  10. Without purpose, we are like a leaf in the wind, fluttering off in response to any change in our environment

  11. When seeking growth, disappointment is unavoidable, unless we choose to lower our standards

  12. Each of us is placed in this world as a vessel - what we choose to carry and pass on, is up to us

  13. Consistency is arguably the most underrated contributor to success
