#Theweekthatwas @ 31/08/2026
An engaging, bubbling week taught me that:
If you keep yearning for more of something without it ever satisfying you, maybe you're drinking from the ocean
No matter your experience or seniority, you're never immune to feeling like an impostor
Some of us learn from others' mistakes, some only learn from our own ones and still others don't learn at all
True gratitude is demonstrated in our actions, not just with our words
Without optimism, one tends to feel as though we're being sucked into a deep dark bottomless pit - pretty pointless really
Money comes and goes but moments in time only come around once
It is inevitable that we'll take on the characteristics of those we spend the most time with
If you spend time with a blacksmith, you'll smell like fire and burnt metal
If you spend time with a perfumer, you'll smell like perfume
Independence is often treated as the goal, yet what really matters is what, or whom, we choose to depend on
Being alone with ourselves - unplugged, no distractions - is the first step towards finding ourselves
