#Theweekthatwas @ 20/09/2026

A week of reflection and celebration had several lessons:

  1. When you've put in the work and achieved your goal, it's important to acknowledge your own effort

  2. Taking responsibility for something that's not your responsibility reflects your level of responsibility

  3. One of the greatest threats to growth, relationships and success is being a knower

  4. Empathy requires your presence, not your perfection

  5. In order to get better, we need to stop being bitter

  6. Practicality beats aesthetics every day of the week

  7. When you strive for success just for yourself, you'll get success; when you strive to help others succeed, you'll get success and fulfilment

  8. The greatest teacher, coach, mentor or supervisor in the world cannot help someone who is not open to being helped

  9. If you're not open to help, you’re either too arrogant or too afraid of what that help might change for you

  10. No feeling or state in our lives is permanent

  11. Most of us live within arbitrary, often self-imposed, limits which keep us from fulfilling our potential
