#Theweekthatwas @ 18/10/2026

A challenging week held many lessons:

  1. We tend to only look at problems in society at the point where they become an inconvenience to us

  2. You are a slave to whatever you have greed for

  3. Some of the most dangerous forms of greed disguise themselves as loyalty to our community, family or nation

  4. If you've missed the boat, maybe it wasn't your boat to begin with

  5. Identifying what triggers our poor behaviour and taking responsibility for our response to those triggers are two different things

  6. Understanding that honour is not bestowed by any human frees us from the need to seek acceptance or security from others

  7. Hate is a poison which, when administered with a certain dosage, can alter one's reality

  8. It is not sustainable to run our lives purely by how we feel

  9. To become our best, we must first learn to serve the best

  10. Human beings are perpetually needy; it's just the nature and scope that changes

  11. Accepting and embracing uncertainty as a certainty helps us deal with the very uncertainty we're faced with
